The South Dakota Farmers Union, in cooperation with the South Dakota Farmers Union Foundation, takes pride in announcing the availability of scholarships to applicants whose parents are members of South Dakota Farmers Union.
- Current member of South Dakota Farmers Union
- Senior in high school planning to attend or a current Freshman at a SD post-secondary institution.
- Completed application received by 8 a.m. on October 26, 2018. This includes these forms or online equivalent.
- * Any late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed
- Applicants can only win once, past winners are not eligible.

Insuring a Brighter Tomorrow Scholarship
South Dakota high school seniors seeking funds to attend post-secondary education at a South Dakota college, university, or technical school.Open to Farmers Union Insurance Policyholders, South Dakota Farmers Union Members, Friends of the SDFU Foundation (defined as a contribution of $25 or more during the past year), or a Participant in any South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSAA) sanctioned activity.

Original Essay Topic:
“How do you hope to impact a Brighter Tomorrow in South Dakota?”
Twenty-five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to be used for tuition.

Copy of high school transcript
Copy of ACT/SAT score or equivalent
Letter of recommendation
Original essay – less than 500 words
