After months of work and numerous late
hours, the 2nd Annual SDFU
Foundation’s "Night on the
Prairie" was a huge success. From the
games and raffles to the silent and live
auction to the humor of Jim Woster and the
astonishing voice of Taylor Marshall all
members and guests left Saturday night with a
smile on their face.
Around 5:00 P.M. members and guests started
to line-up and register for the nights events.
Guests were given bid number and tickets for
games among entering. Then the "Fun"
began! From a SDFU version of Wheel of Fortune
to "Diamonds and Lace" to Putting
for Prizes tickets were going every which way,
and the raffle drums were filling.
The nights MC, Jim Woster, took the stage
and entertained everyone with jokes and humor
when the prizes for the games were announced.
Then between announcements of prizes the young
and talented Taylor Marshall got on stage and
sang for all there. Let us just say Johnny
Cash would be proud!
The live auction, general raffle and then
the Night on the Prairie concluded with the
drawing of the 2007 Chevrolet Flex-Fuel
pickup. The winner was none other then Huron
Resident, Jessica Hotchkiss. We would like to
thank all that purchased tickets for the
drawing!
With the conclusion of the 2nd
Annual SDFU Foundation’s "Night on the
Prairie", we hope that all attended
enjoyed the evening and hope to see more faces
next year to help support the youth of South
Dakota!
