South Dakota Farmers Union strongly believes in the talent and potential of rural South Dakotans. Through our Rural Development Programs, we support and create partnerships and collaborations between various entities and individuals to help improve the lives of all. Our REAL and Junior REAL series offer comprehensive training that help you develop leadership skills and make a difference in your community. We’d love to see you at a future REAL or Jr. REAL class.
The Rural Economic and Leadership (REAL) Development Program Development Program is a comprehensive series designed and tailored for rural South Dakotans who currently serve or have a willingness to serve in a leadership role. Participants will receive challenging yet supportive development in personal motivation, leadership strategy, goal achievement, and community growth. Through innovative speakers and hands-on activities, participants will develop skills that can be directly applied to their own lives.
Our class will meet three times during a 12 month period. Lodging and meals are provided FREE with this course. A $50 deposit is required.
Recruiting for the next REAL class for 2013-2014 will begin soon.
