Wind Energy

Wind MillAs a founding member of the South Dakota Wind Energy Association, South Dakota Farmers Union is committed to helping farmers, ranchers, and landowners protect their rights as we work to develop the Wind Energy Industry in South Dakota. We’re attempting to link landowners with wind developers as we work to create more clean and renewable energy opportunities in South Dakota. As a founding member of South Dakota Wind Partners, LLC, South Dakota Farmers Union helped to secure over $16 million for the first individual investor-owned wind farm in South Dakota. We’re working legislatively to pass laws that help landowners protect their rights, while supporting policies that encourage growth in the wind energy industry in South Dakota.
