Jr. REAL Program Enters Final Push
The South Dakota Farmers Union's Junior Rural Economic And Leadership (Jr. REAL) Development Program has visited four rural schools so far this fall, and next week the final four schools will take part in this important program.
Jr. REAL has already been to White Lake, Groton, Lemmon and Wall. Next week we'll travel to Howard, Stanley County/Ft. Pierre, Faith, and Britton/Hecla.
Student participants engage in hand-on exercises while learning techniques to articulate for civic responsibility. The conference focuses on leadership development, credit issues and identity theft, life skills, and motivation. This program will be presented by various speakers including community members and business men and women.
